Installation
To Install FlashVideo Converter for Mac
That’s it. FlashVideo Converter is installed. You may delete the flashvideoconverter.dmg file from your desktop or download location.
Starting FlashVideo Converter for Mac
Before starting FlashVideo Converter close any programs that run Flash SWF or FLV movies to prevent a jerking-effect on the output movie file. Usually it's Safary, Camino or FireFox browsers.
Converting a Flash Movie

- Select the flash swf or flv movie file to convert by clicking the button to the right of the "Flash" fiels and browsing to the file.
- Create a name for the output file. Click the button to the right of the “Video” field, then enter a name for the output file in the “Save As” field.

- Select the Recording Audio Device. The default “MacVide Audio Connector” is recommended.
- Select the format of the output file.
Note: Selecting the format automatically updates the file extension of the output filename entered in the “Video” field above. (See Step 2.)
- To modify the codec parameters click the “Settings” button in the Video Format section.
- Adjust the height and width of the output file by modifying the values in the “Width” and “Height” fields, or accept the defaults.
Note: Checking the “Proportional” box will maintain the movie’s original width to height ratio.
- Control the length of the output movie file by checking the “Length” box and entering a value, in seconds. For example to convert only the first 15 seconds of the flash video, check the “Length” box and enter “15”.
- Click the “Auto Stop” box to stop capturing video when the flash video ends.
Note: If this box is not checked you may select the “Stop” button to stop the video capture at any time.
- Click “Start Conversion” to start the conversion process. A “Grabbing” window will appear and play the video as it is captured.
- When finished an “Export Media Progress” window will appear with a progress bar as the program converts the video file.
The Flash Video conversion is complete. Click “Yes” to play the output file or navigate to the output location.
You have successfully converted a flash movie to video movie for editing, sharing or DVD recording.
